Chairman of the Steering Committee and Chairman of Denmead Parish Council. Neil was born in Totton on the edge of the New Forest. (It was then countryside but is now a suburb of Southampton!) In a 38 year career in the Civil Service Neil worked on five Censuses and a number of other statistics based projects, latterly specialising in their presentation to the public. He moved to Denmead in 2001 and retired in 2007. Neil joined the Parish Council in 2003 to make a contribution to the life of the village which had welcomed him. He is pleased to have promoted the idea of Denmead Parish Council applying to join in the Government's new Neighbourhood Planning scheme and particularly proud that it was chosen to be a 'Frontrunner'. |

Born in Plymouth, Devon, married to Jane for over 30 years. Trained as an Electrical & Electronic Engineer. Spent 30 years as a Software Engineer and another 6 as a Product Safety Engineer. Member of Denmead Parish Council for the last 7 years, currently Vice-Chairman of the Council and Chairman of Planning Committee. |

Malcolm was born in London and began working life as a Mechanical Engineering Apprentice with a Lucas Group company, then after graduating as a mature student with a first degree in Business Studies and an MBA spent the rest of his career in Supply Chain Management roles in a number of industries within both the private and public sectors. Malcolm moved to Denmead from Middlesex nearly 30 years ago, and following commuting to London for a number of years is now keen to become more involved in the life and wellbeing of the village and its community. Malcolm joined the Denmead Twinning Association around five years ago, and has recently been elected their Chairman. Malcolm joined the Parish Council in May 2012 and serves on the Planning and Amenities Committees. |

Born in Aldershot – Felicity Mary Wright - eventually settled in Sherborne, Dorset where she went to school at St Antony’s Leweston. Trained as a PA and worked in the City of London for some years before moving to working with horses in Hertfordshire. Married to Peter, computer expert, for28 years she has 2 grown up sons both educated at Oaklands, Waterlooville. In 1989 moved to Denmead following a posting to Hampshire, has followed village matters closely since that time as Peter became coopted to the Parish Council shortly afterwards. Coopted to the Recreation Advisory Committee she was a prime mover in the founding of Denmead Swings and Things and the design & installation of the playground in Ashling Park. Felicity has run the Denmead Horse Shows since 1993 as a way of fund raising for Denmead Swings and Things. |
County & District Councillor Patricia Stallard |

Raised her family in Denmead, taught in a local Secondary School and College. Later responsible for teacher training and courses in the School of Education at the University of Portsmouth. Took early retirement and concentrated on community work, becoming a District Councillor and Governor of the local School. Patricia is now also the County Councillor for Denmead (which is part of the Winchester Southern Parishes Division) having first been elected to the County Council in February 2012 where she has been appointed Chairman of the Safe and Healthy People Select Committee. She is also on the Policy & Resources Select Committee; the Children & Young People Select Committee and the Communities and Rural Affairs Select Committee. Patricia is also the HCC representative on the Solent NHS Trust; the Hampshire Foundations for Young Musicians; the Hampshire Playing Fields Association; Community Action Hampshire; the Board of the Theatre Royal Winchester and several other organisations. |
Peter Ambrose |

Peter Ambrose OBE has lived in Denmead for over 30 years. He served in the Royal Navy as a Seaman/Warfare Officer for 35 years and reached the rank of Commander RN. He went on (as a Civil Servant) to form and be the first Director of the RN Estate Organisation which was responsible for procuring and overseeing Property Management services, and running major rebuilding contracts, for the RN Training and Royal Marine Establishments and the Fleet Air Arm Air Stations. He retired from the Civil Service in 2010. Shortly after this he became a member of the Denmead Village Association, and was co-opted onto the Association’s Executive Committee. He is now the Association’s Chairman. |

David Griffiths |

David Griffiths has lived in Denmead with his wife and family for over 25 years. He has been an active member of the Denmead Village Association's Executive Committee for the past four years and is Chairman of Petersfield PROBUS club's management committee. Particular concern is the protection of Denmead as a village and the enhancement of the village's environment. Prior to retirement in 2003, David's professional life revolved around export promotion, acting as a private secretary to a number of Government ministers, estate rationalisation, naval law and personnel policy for the Royal Navy. Neil was born in Portsmouth and has lived all his life in either this part of Hampshire or in the Chichester area. He is a qualified, professional chef, working in a service industry, and has run his own restaurants but was brought up a farmer’s son with a family history of over 300 years on the land; he brings a different perspective to the work of the Steering Group. He joined the team because now, as a Denmead resident, he considered the project to be such an important and worthwhile one and wanted to help it to a successful conclusion. |

Born in Plymouth, he moved abroad as a young child and spent much of his childhood in Malta, Egypt and South Africa. He joined the Royal Navy in 1951 and spent the next 37 years as a weapons and electrical engineer in a variety of sea and shore jobs. He and his wife, Sheila, moved to Denmead in 1962 and have lived in the same house since then apart from appointments elsewhere in the UK, USA and continental Europe. After retiring from the RN in 1988 he worked for the shipbuilder Vosper Thornycroft for 10 years. He served on the Denmead Parish Council for 9 years resigning in 2011. His aim for Denmead is to see its planned and well-ordered growth as a village community separate from Waterlooville, with its own distinct character and, so far as possible, with the facilities and services necessary to serve all sections its community. |
